Favorite Face Masks On A Budget

I’ve been sick and stuck in bed the past week or so and my loft is a mess, the laundry pile is more like a mountain, and I’m behind on everything needing to be done! But today I wanted to try and do something productive! Downstairs is clean and a blog post is being written so yay! Things are happening.
Since I’ve been home (sleeping most the time) I did have a chance to use some of my favorite masks again,
I need to take time to use my masks more often not just when I’m sick because I was wonderfully reminded why these are some of my favorites and why I love them so much even after using most of these masks for years and repurchasing them.

I love having options when it comes to skin care it’s not just about detoxifying you have to put back in moisture and other needed nutrients your skin needs to remain supple, glowing, and healthy!

I’ve chosen a selection of sheet masks including a hydro mask, sheet mask, wash off masks, and peel away masks.
Now I have combination oily skin and I have never had any bad reactions to any of these products on my skin, these are what I have personally found works best for me and my skin your skin however may be different and react differently to these products so always use caution when trying new skin care especially if you have sensitive or dry skin.
So let’s get to some specifics!

I’m going to start with the wash of masks that I swear by and would recommend to anyone! I chose three totally different masks here they all have a different purpose and make my skin feel wonderful but all in their unique ways!
1- Nature Republic Aloe Vera soothing gel.
I have used this gel for years and I absolutely love it. It’s a dream for after sun use as just a moisturizer because the aloe instantly calms your skin and prevents your from turning red after long sun exposure.
The next way I use it is as a night or everyday mask, I slather it on a bit thicker on my face then I would if I was usuing it after the sun, if you were to leave this on in a thick layer for longer then maybe 20 minutes it will soak completely in but if I just want a quick boost of moisture, radiance, and calming to my skin I leave it for about 5-10 minutes and then wash off what’s left and I’m left with radiant hydrated skin!
It’s such a versatile product and it’s sold for under 10$ on Amazon. Nature republic is a Korean based brand and this is by far my favorite product of theirs.

2- Lush Mask Of Magnaminty
For me this next one is a must have if you like skin care and masks in general, I’m a huge Lush fan and I haven’t tried anything of theirs I dislike. If you haven’t heard of Lush they are a Fresh homemade cosmetic company that create loads of skincare for any skin type as well as being environmentally clean and aware, most their products are recyclable or reusable in some way and most products are self preserving so they don’t have to add anything extra which to me is a real winner. I love being able to buy a product and feel good about the after math of when I’m done with it it’s not just being thrown away.
So this is a peppermint, kaolin, and scrubby aduki beans mask for deeply cleansed skin, it draws out the impurities but also refreshes your skin in the most amazing way due to the peppermint. I use this usually in my T-Zone area where I have the most impurities and you only need a small amount it goes a long way. I leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then scrub it off with warm water and feel instantly refreshed and renewed, my skin feels like it’s glowing and almost like it can breathe better. I 100% recommend if you’re looking for a good scrub mask!

3- Fresh Rose Face Mask
This mask is a bit of a higher end price range mask but it lasts a good long while, you need very little so I feel it’s worth the price because it’s going to last and you really get your monies worth!
This mask is for hydrating, toning, along with rejuvenating your skin to look radiant and supple.
When you first open it you can smell the rose water but also a bit of cucumber which is great for hydrating, refreshing and keeping your skin tone clearer. I love that it has real rose petals in it and it feels very luxurious and refreshing when you put it on. I use this mask on my whole face avoiding the eye area and leave it for 5-7 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water, it can tingle a bit but once I wash it off my skin is a whole new level of radiant and supple it’s magic!

Next are my sheet masks which you can never go wrong with, they are a quick easy way to hydrate and clean your skin!
The three I’ve chosen are very similar but each one makes my skin feel so different, I always think people underestimate the power of a good old sheet mask!

1-Celkin Moisturizing HydroGel Mask
These masks were actually a gift and the only place I could find them was amazon and they are currently out of stock unfortunately.
I love love love this mask one for the fact they are two pieces so it fits on my face! It’s a top piece of hydro gel to cover your eye and nose area along with your forehead and then the other hydrogel piece is for your mouth, cheek, and chin area and it actually sticks and stays on my face which is already a win for me.
It’s designed for after sun use due to its green tea and vitamin A it’s great for reducing redness, irritation, and hydrating like nobodies business! I leave this mask on for about 20-30 minutes and after I feel as if most of the mask has almost soaked into my skin unlike traditional paper mask where the paper absorbs a lot of the serum. My skin is so soft and supple after and has a great brightness to it. Perfect if you need a good hydration, calming boost!

2-Naisture Ginseng Mask pack
Ginseng is one of my favorite scents and I love a Gisnseng Mask! These are a cheaper end paper sheet mask but provide great hydration and smoothness to my skin in 10 minutes. For me they are a good basic staple in my skin care routine and mask collection.
I love that they are simple and quick to use and that I can get the results I want quickly.

3- Naisture Tea Tree Mask Pack
I chose two masks from the Naisture brand because they are such great basics for me and are easy and affective to use regularly.
Tea Tree is another great ingredient for masks and it always smells awesome! This mask helps moisturize my skin despite it being for sensitive skin it always leaves my skin super refreshed and supple!
I like to use it if I’ve had some troublesome spots or irritation anywhere because it soothes and helps treat any spots I may have.

So those were the sheet mask! A great easy and quick way to treat your skin without any fuss of washing anything off and patting dry.

Next are two of my favorite peel off masks that are at most superstores like target and Walmart and are budget friendly! I love a good peel off mask because my skin always feels so fresh and clean after as if I’m peeling away all the nasty that was on or in it!

1- Alba Botanical Pore Purifying Mini Peel
This is a great mask that I usually hydrate after using because it’s so cleansing and purifying it can leave a bit of dryness if you leave it on too long. It contains loads of fruit acids so you only leave it on for about 1-5 minutes because it tingles and can burn if you have very sensitive skin. It helps draw out the toxins, impurities, and cleanse your pores so they appear smaller. My skin feels so clean and has this amazing right glow to it without being dried out (as long as a use a moisturizer after) I would recommend if you’re looking for something quick you can use a couple times a week to keep your pores minimized and clear!

2- Freeman Cucumber Peel Off Mask
If you like drugstore face masks you might be familiar with the Freeman brand, they have been a long time favorite of mine because the price is for sure right staying under 5$ usually and they really work!
One of my favorites is the Cucumber Peel Off Mask because it smells so good and it helps clarify and renew your skin in 5-10 minutes. I see instant results when I use this mask. I spread a thin layer and keep it on till it’s stiff and not wet anywhere then just peel away to find wonderfully clean, firm, and bright skin!
I would recommend this to anyone even if you have sensitive skin because it’s gentle but very affective!

I hope you enjoyed reading a bit about my favorite face masks, I love talking about skincare so maybe there will be some more skincare posts in the future!

Till next time!

~Toodles~
