~Chicago 2018 Travel Journal~
Chicago is my favorite city probably in the world I’ve been able to see a few around the world and Chicago still and I feel always will hold a special place in my heart, I have family there so I’ve visited side I was a child so it feels like home to me and is so very different from hot sweaty Florida.

Museums were top of the list (next to eating as much as we could) we only had time for two so we chose the Adler Planetarium and the Science and Industry museum, my husband was not disappointed! This was the view from the Planetarium of the Shed Aquarium, the lovely city skyline, and all the ice!! It was blustery when we went but not freezing thank goodness.

Can’t get enough of that view! The ice that froze to the side walk was epic.

I love the Adler for its obviously amazing exhibits but also for the beautiful old building.

It was so windy the day we went to the Adler I tried to take as many photos outside till we ran in to hide from the cold.

Chinatown was a must just to see that it’s cuter than New York City’s Chinatown,my husband didn’t believe me till we went, and he didn’t hate it so that’s better then nothing.

I love the colors in Chinatown and the amazing views all around of the city.

It may have taken some convincing to get him to pay for parking and get out to walk around but it was well worth it!

I love the constant commotion in the City between the cars, the train, and all the people it’s electrifying to be amidst it all.

I couldn’t take enough photos I was so excited to have something different to photograph and just look at but at the same time I just wanted to look and see, just enjoy being there. A change in environment can be so refreshing and thrilling.

My husbands picture of the bean he was very happy with his photo so I had to include it lol.

All her glory and shine.

I could stare at these old buildings forever if I could, the character and charm they have is just lovely.

My one mistake is that I didn’t brief my Island boy of a husband on roof tops what’s that one rule again? Oh yeah don’t ever close a rooftop door... he just didn’t know lol but we found a way back down eventually and he got quite the experience from it! Fire escapes are there for a reason right? To escape?.. right..
Thinking he’s all cool and what not.

My husband being his goofy self at the Science and Industy museum.

Lovely evening fog/snow? I seriously loved it so much I think fog is one of the prettiest natural things to capture.

We were able to enjoy what I think was the perfect amount of soft fluffy snow! Just a lovely dusting all over everything which only meant a bit of car scraping in the morning! But I was okay with that if it meant snow I’ll do it.

I love the seasons and envy those who get to enjoy them our “winter” was rather short if you’d call it even that here in Florida so this was refreshing and thrilling but also a reminder of the hard work that goes into living with winter!
We had a crazy quick 4 day trip and this was my husbands first time going so we tried to do as much as we possibly could in those hectic 4 days!!
Here are some of my favorite shots from the trip and a bit of what we were able to jam into those 4 days!

The lighting is so moody and cold yet cozy somehow I can’t get enough of it!
